What CheckPeople exposes about you
Your name, current and past addresses, phone numbers, age, and relatives, compiled into a public profile anyone can look up. It is one of the first places a wholesaler or skip-tracer looks to attach your cell number to your name and address.
How to opt out of CheckPeople
- 1.Go to the CheckPeople opt-out page
- 2.Enter your full name, select your state, complete the hCaptcha, and click Search
- 3.Locate your listing in the results
- 4.Click Remove Record next to your listing
- 5.Enter your name and email address in the confirmation form that appears
- 6.Complete the second hCaptcha and click Submit Request
- 7.Check your inbox for a verification email from CheckPeople and click the Confirm Request link inside
- 8.Allow 5-7 days for removal. Note: CheckPeople is owned by PeopleConnect Inc., but this opt-out does NOT cover Intelius, TruthFinder, or Instant Checkmate -- those require separate submissions through the PeopleConnect Suppression Center.
