SMS Filter

How do I enable the SMS filter?

Open iPhone Settings, scroll down to Apps, tap Messages, then tap Unknown & Spam. Under Text Message Filtering, select FendLand. The filter is now active — no further setup needed.

Will it block texts from people I know?

No. The filter only runs on messages from numbers not in your contacts. Any number saved in your contacts is never touched.

Will it filter verification codes or bank alerts?

No. OTP codes, bank notifications, delivery alerts, and similar messages are allowed through. FendLand only targets unsolicited real estate outreach.

Where do filtered messages go?

Filtered messages go to your Junk folder under Filters in the Messages app — not deleted. You can review anything there at any time.

Does FendLand read my messages?

FendLand does not store SMS message content. When a message is checked, only the classification verdict, sender carrier type, and a truncated hash of the phone number are saved — never the message text itself.

Message Scanner

How do I scan a message?

Tap the Scanner tab, paste the message text into the input field, optionally add the sender's phone number, and tap Scan. Results appear in a few seconds.

What does the confidence score mean?

The confidence score reflects how strongly the message matches a known pattern — based on the text signals found, the margin between the top verdict and the next, and carrier type if a number was provided. A score above 75% is a strong match.

What is an "assignment of contract"?

Wholesalers rarely intend to buy your property themselves. They sell their purchase contract to another buyer for a fee. Asking "will you personally be closing, or assigning this contract?" is the fastest way to confirm you're talking to a wholesaler.

What does UNCLEAR mean?

UNCLEAR means the message didn't match any pattern strongly enough to classify. The message may be too short, too generic, or from a category FendLand hasn't seen before. Try one of the suggested screening replies to get more information from the sender.

Removal Center

How long does it take for removals to process?

Most platforms process removal requests within 7 to 14 business days. Some data brokers may take up to 30 days. FendLand automatically sends a follow-up if no confirmation is received within 14 days on ASSISTED targets.

Will I stop getting texts after submitting removals?

Outreach should decrease over time, but it won't stop immediately. Wholesalers who already have your number will keep using it. Removal prevents new lists from including you going forward.

Do I need to re-submit removals?

Yes. Data brokers regularly re-import records from public sources. Running removals every 6 to 12 months keeps your information off their active lists.

Port-Out Firewall

What is a port-out attack?

A port-out happens when someone uses your personal information to transfer your phone number to a different carrier without your permission. After the transfer, calls and texts meant for you are redirected to them. FendLand monitors your carrier fingerprint daily and alerts you if it changes.

How do I enroll my number in Firewall?

Go to the Firewall tab in the app, tap Add Number, enter your phone number, and confirm. FendLand takes a baseline carrier snapshot at enrollment and monitors it from there.

What happens when a change is detected?

FendLand sends you an email alert immediately and a push notification on your iPhone. The alert shows what changed (carrier name, line type) and links to your Firewall dashboard where you can review and dismiss it.

Account & Billing

How do I reset my password?

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot Password and enter your email. You'll receive a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open iPhone Settings, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, find FendLand, and tap Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Can I use FendLand on multiple devices?

Yes. Sign in with the same account on any device. Your scans, evidence log, and removal requests are synced across all of them.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — Shield Pro includes a 7-day free trial. You won't be charged until the trial ends and you can cancel any time before then.

Privacy

What data does FendLand collect?

FendLand collects your email address and name (for account creation and removal requests), subscription status, and anonymized scan activity. SMS message content is never stored. Phone numbers processed by the filter are stored only as short cryptographic hashes.

Does FendLand sell my data?

No. FendLand does not sell, share, or license user data to any third party for advertising or marketing purposes.

What third parties does FendLand use?

Twilio for carrier lookups (sender phone number, results cached 60 days), Anthropic Claude Haiku for ambiguous message classification (message text only, no user identifiers, not retained per Anthropic's commercial terms), and Supabase for database and authentication.
