How It Works

Everything FendLand does, explained.

FendLand gives property owners three ways to fight back against unsolicited outreach. Here's what each one does and how to use it.

01

Identify

Know who is texting you and why

02

Remove

Get off the lists they use to find you

03

Block

Auto-filter texts before you see them

Feature 01

Message Scanner

Paste any suspicious text or voicemail. FendLand tells you who sent it, why they're reaching out, and gives you ready-to-send replies so you're never scrambling for a response.

Wholesaler

"Cash buyer," "7 days," "as-is," "no agents." Usually a VoIP number running through a batch texting platform.

Investor

Talks about portfolios, rental income, or off-market deals. More patient than a wholesaler but still after a below-market price.

Realtor

Mentions comparables, listing agreements, or a free market analysis. Usually a real mobile number.

Scam

Urgent pressure, wire transfer requests, fake government notices, or threats about your property.

Tips

1

Paste the full message. The more text you give it, the more signals it has to work with.

2

Add the sender's phone number if you have it. That tells FendLand what kind of line it came from.

3

Low confidence? Use one of the screening replies to get them to show their hand.

Feature 02

Evidence Log

Every scan you run gets saved automatically. Verdict, confidence score, carrier info, signal breakdown, timestamp. It's all there whenever you need it.

Exportable as CSV

Download your full scan history and hand it to an attorney or attach it to an FCC complaint.

Add notes

Add your own context to any entry. Useful for tracking what you did and what happened next.

Shows patterns

If the same number keeps showing up, your log documents exactly how many times and when.

Why it matters legally

TCPA complaints and FCC filings need more than a screenshot. They need a documented pattern with timestamps, sender info, and message content. That's exactly what your Evidence Log provides.

Feature 03

Removal Center

Blocking texts is a band-aid. Removal Center goes after the source. Wholesalers find you because your number is sitting on platforms they pay to access. We get you off them.

GUIDED

We walk you through the steps and you submit directly on the platform's site. Some require identity verification before they'll remove you.

ASSISTED

We write and send the suppression email for you. Fill out your details once and we handle the rest.

HYBRID

We send the initial request, but the platform needs one thing from you to finish it — usually a confirmation link in your email.

Tips

1

Go through all 28. Skipping a few means you're still on the lists wholesalers actually use.

2

Come back every 6 to 12 months. These platforms re-buy and re-import data on a regular schedule.

3

If an ASSISTED target doesn't respond, we automatically send a follow-up after 14 days.

Feature 04

Inquiry Links

If you're open to offers, Inquiry Links let people reach you without getting your actual number. Share a link, they fill out a form, you look at it when you feel like it.

Your number stays private

Buyers go through a FendLand form. Your number and email never come up.

Qualify buyers upfront

They answer your questions before anything lands in your inbox. Weeds out the low-effort stuff fast.

Everything in one place

All submissions go to your dashboard. No missed DMs, no digging through texts.

Why not just give out your number

Every number you hand out ends up on a list somewhere. Legitimate buyers, investors, agents — they all pass lists around. An Inquiry Link means your real number never gets out in the first place.

Submit a Property Inquiry

Owner's number stays private. Submissions go to their FendLand inbox.

Feature 05

Community Intelligence

When you scan a wholesaler or scam number, FendLand adds it to a shared database anonymously. Scan a number that's already been flagged and you'll see what other users reported alongside your own result.

Automatic and anonymous

It happens on every qualifying scan with no setup on your end. Only the number and verdict get stored. Nothing ties back to you.

Community verdict

Shows the verdict that the most users agreed on across all reports for that number.

Full breakdown

Breaks down how many people flagged it and for what, plus when it was first and last seen.

Gets smarter over time

The more people use FendLand, the more useful this gets. One scan is a data point. Fifty scans across five states is a pattern. Anyone who runs that number sees the full picture.

Feature 06 — iOS

SMS Filter

Available on iOS

The SMS Filter is the core feature. Once you enable it in iPhone Settings, wholesaler and investor texts from unknown numbers never make it to your inbox. iOS checks every incoming message against FendLand before it reaches you, silently, in the background.

One-time setup

Go to Settings, tap Messages, then Unknown and Spam, and toggle FendLand on. That's it. You never have to touch it again.

Works automatically

Every text from an unknown number gets privately checked by FendLand. If it matches wholesaler or scam patterns, it routes to your Junk folder before you see it.

Nothing gets lost

Filtered messages go to Junk, not deleted. You can always check the folder if you're expecting something from an unknown number.

Your data stays private

Apple's Message Filter API is designed so your message content never leaves your device unencrypted. FendLand only receives the information needed to make a call.

How iOS handles this

Apple built a dedicated API for SMS filtering called ILMessageFilterExtension. When an SMS arrives from an unknown number, iOS privately asks the filter app whether to allow or junk it. FendLand responds in milliseconds. The message content never touches FendLand's servers in plain text.

Feature 07 — iOS

Firewall

Available on iOS

Firewall runs in the background. It filters wholesaler texts before they reach your inbox and watches your number around the clock for any carrier changes that could mean someone is trying to steal it.

iOS SMS Filter

Turn it on once in iPhone Settings under Messages. After that, every text from an unknown number gets quietly checked before it reaches you. Wholesaler texts go straight to Junk.

Port-out detection

When you enroll your number, FendLand records your carrier info. It checks that against live data every day and alerts you if anything changes.

Instant alerts

If something critical comes up, you get an email right away and a push notification on your phone. You're not finding out about it a week later.

What is a port-out attack?

Someone gets your number from a data broker and transfers it to a VoIP provider without your permission. After that, calls and texts meant for you go to them instead. FendLand checks your carrier data every day and tells you the moment something shifts.
