How to opt out of Claritas
- 01Open the Claritas privacy request form, hosted by OneTrust. Claritas's privacy policy links this same form for deleting your information and for opting out of its offline marketing databases, so submit both requests. Claritas only accepts requests from U.S. residents.
- 02Use the name and full mailing address, including any unit number, that marketers have on file for you. Claritas says it may ask for more information to verify your identity before it processes a deletion.
- 03Prefer not to use the form? Call 1-888-994-9312, or email privacyinfo@claritas.com with your full name, complete address, gender, age, and a phone number, which is what Claritas asks for in written requests.
FendLand last confirmed this opt-out link works in Oct 2026.
THE DURABLE FIX
Claritas is one site. You’re on dozens.
The same records that put you on Claritas are spread across our full data-broker opt-out list, and that spread is how wholesalers and spammers got your number in the first place. Opting out of one site helps for a while, then Claritas re-lists you after its next data refresh. FendLand shows where you are listed, tracks every removal, files the ones that accept an agent, and keeps re-checking because they come back.
See who else lists you, freeSee which of the biggest sites list you right now, no account needed. Then file your removals free, or let Shield Pro send them for you:
Questions
Is Claritas legitimate?
Yes. Claritas is a real company, not a scam. It is a data broker: it buys and compiles property, ownership, and contact records, then licenses them to marketers, lenders, and the skip-trace tools wholesalers use to find owners to call. That is a legal business in the US, which is why your records can be in its database without you ever hearing of it. Opting out is your right and it is free: Claritas publishes its own request process, and you do not have to give a reason. Some property and mortgage data may be kept under regulatory exemptions, so a removal can be partial.
Why is Claritas showing my information?
Claritas builds its file on you from public property and mortgage records, recorded deeds, and commercial marketing data it licenses in bulk, not from anything you handed it. Your name enters its database the moment you appear on a recorded document, which is why it can list you with no signup. You can request removal or suppression for free, though some property and mortgage records may be retained under regulatory exemptions.
Will removing myself from Claritas stop the "we buy your house or land" texts?
It helps, but Claritas is one of many data brokers feeding the same marketing and skip-trace lists, and the records return after each refresh, so the durable fix is removing yourself across the whole set and re-verifying on a schedule, not once. FendLand tracks every removal, files the ones that accept an agent, and re-checks on a schedule.
