How to opt out of CoreLogic
- 1.Open the Cotality privacy portal at cotality.privacyportal.co, or from cotality.com/legal/privacy-policy click Online Privacy Portal. The old CoreLogic privacy link now redirects to a dead page.
- 2.Choose a request: opt out of the sale or sharing of your data, and ask for deletion. The opt-out of sale or sharing is the more reliably honored one.
- 3.Provide the identity details Cotality needs to match you to its records.
- 4.You can also email privacy@cotality.com to make the request or appeal a denial.
- 5.Note that Cotality claims FCRA and GLBA exemptions for much of its property and mortgage data, so deletion may be partial.

Is CoreLogic legitimate?
Yes. CoreLogic is a real company, not a scam. It is a data broker: it buys and compiles property, ownership, and contact records, then licenses them to marketers, lenders, and the skip-trace tools wholesalers use to find owners to call. That is a legal business in the US, which is why your records can be in its database without you ever hearing of it. Opting out is your right and it is free: CoreLogic publishes its own request process, and you do not have to give a reason. Some property and mortgage data may be kept under regulatory exemptions, so a removal can be partial.
