How to opt out of Acxiom
- 1Go to the Acxiom opt-out page. The form is embedded on the page
- 2Select who you are opting out for: yourself, a dependent, a deceased family member, or an authorized agent
- 3Enter your full name including any variations you use (former names, name suffixes)
- 4Enter all current and past mailing addresses where you have received mail
- 5Enter your email address and any alternate email addresses
- 6Enter your phone number(s)
- 7Under Select opt out segment, choose the contact details to opt out: mailing addresses, phone numbers and email addresses
- 8Correct any address fields if the form flags them for validation
- 9Certify the information is accurate and submit
- 10Click the verification link in the confirmation email from Acxiom. Allow up to 2 weeks to process. Phone fallback: 1-877-774-2094. Note: data already shared with Acxiom clients before this date is not recalled.

That is a legal business in the US, which is why your records can be in its database without you ever hearing of it. Opting out is your right and it is free: Acxiom publishes its own request process, and you do not have to give a reason. Some property and mortgage data may be kept under regulatory exemptions, so a removal can be partial.
Why is Acxiom showing my information?
Acxiom builds its file on you from public property and mortgage records, recorded deeds, and commercial marketing data it licenses in bulk, not from anything you handed it. Your name enters its database the moment you appear on a recorded document, which is why it can list you with no signup.
