Questions

Is Acxiom legitimate?

Yes. Acxiom is a real company, not a scam. It is a data broker: it buys and compiles property, ownership, and contact records, then licenses them to marketers, lenders, and the skip-trace tools wholesalers use to find owners to call. That is a legal business in the US, which is why your records can be in its database without you ever hearing of it. Opting out is your right and it is free: Acxiom publishes its own request process, and you do not have to give a reason. Some property and mortgage data may be kept under regulatory exemptions, so a removal can be partial.

Why is Acxiom showing my information?

Contact and household records tied to your name and address, often including property and ownership details, packaged and sold to marketers and skip-tracers. One of the largest consumer data brokers. Licenses personal and property records to marketing and investment firms.

Will removing myself from Acxiom stop the "we buy your house or land" texts?

It helps, but Acxiom is one of many data brokers feeding the same marketing and skip-trace lists, and the records return after each refresh, so the durable fix is removing yourself across the whole set and re-verifying on a schedule, not once. That is exactly what FendLand automates.
