How to opt out of ParcelQuest

  1. 01Email privacy@ParcelQuest.com and ask ParcelQuest to delete your information and opt you out of any sale of it. Its privacy policy directs both kinds of request to that address.
  2. 02Include your full name, the address of each California property you own, your mailing address, and every phone number and email you want removed.
  3. 03ParcelQuest says it will verify your identity before responding, which may include confirming your name, email address and physical address, so reply promptly if it asks.
  4. 04If ParcelQuest replies that the data comes from county assessor records, ask it to suppress your name and mailing address in its search results and resold data anyway.

THE DURABLE FIX

ParcelQuest is one site. You’re on dozens.

The same records that put you on ParcelQuest are spread across our full data-broker opt-out list, and that spread is how wholesalers and spammers got your number in the first place. Opting out of one site helps for a while, then ParcelQuest re-lists you after its next data refresh. FendLand shows where you are listed, tracks every removal, files the ones that accept an agent, and keeps re-checking because they come back.

Questions

Is ParcelQuest legitimate?

Yes. ParcelQuest is a real company, not a scam. It is a data broker: it buys and compiles property, ownership, and contact records, then licenses them to marketers, lenders, and the skip-trace tools wholesalers use to find owners to call. That is a legal business in the US, which is why your records can be in its database without you ever hearing of it. Opting out is your right and it is free: ParcelQuest publishes its own request process, and you do not have to give a reason. Some property and mortgage data may be kept under regulatory exemptions, so a removal can be partial.

Why is ParcelQuest showing my information?

ParcelQuest builds its file on you from public property and mortgage records, recorded deeds, and commercial marketing data it licenses in bulk, not from anything you handed it. Your name enters its database the moment you appear on a recorded document, which is why it can list you with no signup. You can request removal or suppression for free, though some property and mortgage records may be retained under regulatory exemptions.

Will removing myself from ParcelQuest stop the "we buy your house or land" texts?

It helps, but ParcelQuest is one of many data brokers feeding the same marketing and skip-trace lists, and the records return after each refresh, so the durable fix is removing yourself across the whole set and re-verifying on a schedule, not once. FendLand tracks every removal, files the ones that accept an agent, and re-checks on a schedule.
