How to opt out of LexisNexis Risk Solutions

  1. 1.Go to the LexisNexis consumer opt-out request form
  2. 2.Select the suppression types you want (prescreen credit offers, direct marketing, and public records or people-search). Choose all that apply
  3. 3.Enter your first name, last name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, and date of birth
  4. 4.Optionally add your middle name, email, and phone. Adding your email brings email-linked records into scope
  5. 5.Optionally provide the last four of your SSN or a driver license number and state to improve match accuracy. These are not required
  6. 6.Submit and save the confirmation number shown
  7. 7.If you entered an email, click the verification link sent to it to confirm email-linked data is in scope
  8. 8.Allow up to 30 days. Email fallback privacy.information.mgr@lexisnexis.com. Note LexisNexis has an FCRA carve-out, so its Accurint and underwriting products stay FCRA-regulated and retain your data regardless of this opt-out, which covers marketing use only

THE DURABLE FIX

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is one site. You’re on dozens.

The same records that put you on LexisNexis Risk Solutions are spread across our full data-broker opt-out list, and that spread is how wholesalers and spammers got your number in the first place. Opting out of one site helps for a while, then LexisNexis Risk Solutions re-lists you after its next data refresh. FendLand finds you across all 102, files every removal, keeps re-checking because they come back, and blocks the spam already hitting your phone.

Questions

Is LexisNexis Risk Solutions legitimate?

Yes. LexisNexis Risk Solutions is a real company, not a scam. It is a data broker: it buys and compiles property, ownership, and contact records, then licenses them to marketers, lenders, and the skip-trace tools wholesalers use to find owners to call. That is a legal business in the US, which is why your records can be in its database without you ever hearing of it. Opting out is your right and it is free: LexisNexis Risk Solutions publishes its own request process, and you do not have to give a reason. Some property and mortgage data may be kept under regulatory exemptions, so a removal can be partial.

Why is LexisNexis Risk Solutions showing my information?

LexisNexis Risk Solutions builds its file on you from public property and mortgage records, recorded deeds, and commercial marketing data it licenses in bulk, not from anything you handed it. Your name enters its database the moment you appear on a recorded document, which is why it can list you with no signup. You can request removal or suppression for free, though some property and mortgage records may be retained under regulatory exemptions.

Will removing myself from LexisNexis Risk Solutions stop the "we buy your house or land" texts?

It helps, but LexisNexis Risk Solutions is one of many data brokers feeding the same marketing and skip-trace lists, and the records return after each refresh, so the durable fix is removing yourself across the whole set and re-verifying on a schedule, not once. That is exactly what FendLand automates.
